One of the largest paintings I've ever executed, this Asian vase is painted on shattered and mounted slate-like panels in kintsugi tradition, a style of repair that is finished in precious metal, and in this case, 23kt gold leaf, which has an astounding tendency to reflect light even in dim ambient light. Bruno Capolongo is an established Canadian artist who has shown in well over one hundred and fifty exhibitions, including some forty solo shows.
